Hi.

I’m Vadim. In 2019 I maimed a perfectly serviceable corporate career to focus more time on mixing and producing music professionally.

Around that same time I started journaling - in part as a way to stay sane and in part as a way to untangle the knot of thoughts and emotions that arose when I swapped the word “professional” in for what used to be purely “recreational” creativity.

I figured I would eventually untangle the knot and transcend to some comfortable plane where successful creatives sip cocktails between consistently constructive periods of flow state - or burn out and return humbly to being a weekend studio warrior.

Instead I found myself with an endless supply of thoughts, epiphanies, hopes, frustrations, learnings, and humorous musings.

There is, of course, no place to land. No threshold to cross. So I started Three Minute Muse as a way to consistently examine the process. It’s where I think about creativity through short (almost) weekly essays.

When I’m not writing (which is most of the time), I run Kharaz Music Productions where I mix and produce music for artists who love big grooves and value originality: www.kharazmusic.productions

If you're working on original musical and want to talk it through, let's chat.
